Product Description

Minnesota Fats billiard table is in black. It measures 96 by 51 by 31.5 inches. It has a 3/4-inch MDF play surface with slate core. It features 4-inch rails with oak veneer and round inlaid sights. It has K66 rubber cushions and a camel-colored cloth made from wool and nylon fabric blend. The black leather drop pockets with embossed shields are other major features. The table has ball and claw legs made from solid wood. In the package, you will also find two cues, a full set of balls and a rack.

The size of the Minnesota Fats table is standard as far as the length and width are concerned. Given that it is an 8-foot model, you will need to space of at least 11.2 by 14.1 feet if you use 42-inch cues for playing and room with dimensions of 13.8 by 17.4 feet if you have 57-inch cue sticks. The height of the table is 0.5 inches greater than the standard set by the World Pool-Billiard Association (WPA), but this should not cause any inconvenient or discomfort or affect the performance of the players. Taller people will find it more comfortable to use.
The play surface is certainly the most important feature after the size. The slate core guarantees that the table is perfectly stable and durable at the same time. The core sits between layers of medium-density fiberboard (MDF). This material has similar properties and does an excellent job in providing a flat well leveled surface for playing. You can expect the play surface to be quite good overall.
The rail width measures 4 inches so it fits into the WPA standard range. Even though the rails are not made from solid wood they produce very good ball rebound with satisfactory speed. The K66 rubber cushions contribute to this effect as well. I would like to point out that these cushions meet the standard for tournament play. The inlaid sights are very well designed and will certainly be of great help to players when they are aiming.
The cloth of this 8-foot pool table has a very elegant camel color. The color has luxurious feel, even though it is not the classic green. The cloth is made from the best possible material used for professional tables. The wool and nylon blend ensures that the balls roll smoothly while being perfectly durable.
The leather pockets are the features of the model which I personally like the most. They are excellently designed. They do their job perfectly and have great strength and durability. Their color matches that of the table’s cabinet so they are quite discreet. The embossed shields are not only practical. They add to the looks of the table as well.
The legs of the Minnesota Fats billiard table are perfectly durable and reliable given their solid wood construction. The ball and claw design may seem a bit pretentious but this should not prevent the table from blending in virtually any decor. I certainly appreciate the fact that all the major equipment items which you require for pool billiards are included in the package.

The MFT-800 Covington 8-foot billiard table does an excellent job when it comes to making a game of pool billiards exciting and fun. It is properly leveled and rails. It has excellent cloth and sights. You can expect to make great shots. The balls will roll smoothly and bounce off the edges fast.
